Tryst Link

Terms

Terms of use.

Last updated: 2026-08-18

These Terms govern your use of Tryst Link, including the URL shortener, QR code generator, account features, dashboard, and Journal. By using the service or creating an account, you agree to these Terms.

Tryst Link is operated by Trystlink, located at Office 104, Lekorpouzier 12a, Limassol, 3075, Cyprus.

The service

Tryst Link provides tools for creating and managing short URLs, generating static QR codes in your browser, and reading editorial content about URLs, QR codes, privacy, security, and the web.

Short links are stored on our systems so they can redirect visitors to the destination URL you provide. The service may also record privacy-minimized click information as described in our Privacy Policy.

The QR generator runs in your browser. QR content does not need to be uploaded to Tryst Link simply to generate the QR image.

Accounts and authentication

  • Short-link creation requires an account. You register using an email address and password.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password and access to your email account secure.
  • You must provide accurate account information and may not create an account using an email address you are not authorized to use.
  • If you use the service for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to act for that organization.
  • You may not sell, transfer, or share an account in a way that creates security, fraud, or abuse risks.

Your links and content

You are responsible for the destination URLs, titles, custom slugs, and other content you submit through your account.

You keep whatever rights you already have in that content. You give us the limited permission needed to store, process, display, and redirect your links solely to operate, secure, and maintain the service.

A custom short code is not a property right. We may reserve, refuse, disable, or reclaim a short code when necessary to protect system routes, prevent impersonation or abuse, comply with law, or maintain the service.

Acceptable use

You may use the service for lawful personal or commercial purposes. You may not use it to create, distribute, facilitate, or conceal links that:

  • Deliver malware, ransomware, credential-stealing software, or other malicious code.
  • Conduct phishing, fraud, impersonation, deceptive credential collection, or scams.
  • Exploit, abuse, or sexualize minors, or distribute child sexual abuse material.
  • Distribute non-consensual intimate imagery or other content whose distribution is unlawful.
  • Threaten, harass, or promote unlawful violence against identifiable people or groups.
  • Sell, distribute, or facilitate unlawful goods, stolen property, or fraudulent services.
  • Infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights.
  • Violate sanctions, export-control requirements, court orders, or other applicable law.

Service abuse

You may not interfere with the operation or security of Tryst Link. This includes denial-of-service activity, credential attacks, automated account abuse, attempts to bypass access controls, excessive automated link creation, redirect loops, or use intended to evade another service's security or rate-limiting controls.

We may apply technical or manual restrictions to malicious, abusive, automated, or unusually resource-intensive activity when necessary to protect users, recipients, infrastructure, or the availability of the service.

Link review, suspension, and removal

We may investigate, disable, or remove a link when we reasonably believe it violates these Terms, creates a security risk, infringes another person's rights, exposes users to fraud or malware, or must be restricted to comply with applicable law.

Serious or repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination. In urgent cases, we may act before giving notice when delay could expose people or systems to continuing harm.

We do not promise that every destination is reviewed before a short link is created or clicked. A short URL can conceal its destination, so recipients should use normal caution when opening unfamiliar links.

Reporting abuse or illegal content

To report phishing, malware, scams, illegal content, impersonation, intellectual-property infringement, or another harmful short link, email abuse@trystlink.io.

Include the Tryst Link URL, the destination if known, a concise explanation of the problem, and any supporting information that will help us review the report. Do not send passwords, payment-card numbers, or other unnecessary sensitive information.

Appeals and mistaken removals

If you own a link or account that has been restricted and believe the action was a mistake, you may request review by emailing abuse@trystlink.io. Include the affected short URL or account email and enough information for us to understand why you believe the restriction should be reversed.

We may decline to restore content when doing so would violate law, undermine an active security investigation, expose users to harm, or recreate the same abuse risk.

Copyright and intellectual-property complaints

If you believe a short link is being used to facilitate infringement of your intellectual-property rights, send a notice to abuse@trystlink.io with enough information to identify the protected work, the affected Tryst Link URL, your contact information, and the basis for your complaint.

We may disable links or accounts associated with repeated or serious infringement where appropriate.

Law-enforcement and legal requests

Government or law-enforcement requests should be sent to hello@trystlink.io. Requests must identify the requesting authority, the relevant account or short URL where possible, the legal basis for the request, and appropriate contact details.

We evaluate requests according to applicable law and may reject, narrow, or seek clarification of requests that are invalid, overbroad, or insufficiently specific.

Deleting links and account data

Account holders can delete individual short links through the available account controls. When a link is deleted from the application database, click records associated with that link are also removed from that database.

Account deletion, retention periods, backups, and privacy rights are governed by the practices described in the Privacy Policy. Where the product does not provide a self-service account-deletion control, contact us using the address below.

QR codes

QR codes generated through the browser-based tool may be used for lawful personal or commercial purposes. You are responsible for the content encoded in a QR code and for testing the final code in the environment where you intend to use it.

We do not guarantee that every QR code will scan on every device, camera, printer, material, color combination, size, or physical condition.

The Journal

Unless a page states otherwise, the articles, illustrations, design, and other editorial material published by Tryst Link are protected by applicable intellectual-property law.

You may link to articles and quote reasonable portions with attribution. You may not republish complete articles or substantial portions of the Journal as your own publication without permission.

Pricing and reasonable use

The current service is offered under the pricing described on our Pricing page. We may introduce, remove, or change plans or resource-intensive features in the future.

Free access does not prevent us from restricting malicious, automated, abusive, or unusually resource-intensive activity. These protections are intended to preserve the service rather than create a hidden ordinary-use quota.

Service availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, discontinue, repair, or replace part of the service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent availability of a particular feature, or that every short URL will remain reachable forever.

If a short link is important for packaging, print, legal notices, emergency information, or another long-lived or time-sensitive use, keep an independent copy of the destination URL and do not rely on a single redirect service as your only access path.

No warranty

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not make warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, immune from abuse, or suitable for every particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Trystlink and its maintainers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where applicable law does not allow that liability to be excluded or limited.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you are responsible for claims, losses, or reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or content and destinations you submit through your account.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the service, law, security practices, or business model changes. The current version and its effective date will always be published on this page.

If a change materially affects existing account holders, we will use a reasonable method to bring the change to their attention before or when it takes effect where required by applicable law.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without regard to conflict-of-law rules to the extent those rules can be excluded. Subject to any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer law, disputes relating to these Terms or the service will be brought in the courts of the Republic of Cyprus having competent jurisdiction.

Severability

If a provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
